Financial Accountant

Second hand designer fashion is our core business high quality, sustainable, and growth-oriented. To ensure everything runs smoothly in the background, we are looking for an experienced financial or accounting clerk for our finance team in Hamburg to take responsibility and elevate our financial processes to the next level.

Your Responsibilities

Financial management of our purchases & events: You will take over the booking, monitoring, and payment of purchases as well as the accounting support of our purchase events in close coordination with the relevant team.

Ongoing accounting & payment processing: You will independently handle bank transactions, creditor invoices, and travel expenses as well as manage relevant payment flows. Additionally, you will monitor and process the invoice receipt tools for the German and Polish companies.

Reconciliation & control: You will ensure that our general ledger accounts are properly reconciled, differences are clarified, and financial data is always reliable.

Monthly closing: Responsibility for loans and ARAP mirrors as well as preparation of the relevant general ledger accounts for the monthly closing.

Annual closing: Participation in the financial department's relevant annual closing tasks you will ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Debtors & representation: Booking and reconciliation of marketplace transactions mainly to cover colleagues on vacation and ensure a smooth workflow.

Tax reporting: Responsibility for VAT issues such as OSS quarterly reports, VAT returns, and consolidated reports (CR).

Innovating processes: You will actively participate, analyze processes, and drive improvements from small optimizations to automation possibilities.

What You Bring

Solid commercial education, ideally with further training as a financial or accounting clerk

Very good DATEV knowledge you work confidently in the system and can move independently

Excel is not just a "nice to have" for you, but a working basis; ideally, you also have an interest in working in the Google environment and are eager to further develop yourself here

Good knowledge of accounting according to HGB

Solid tax understanding with a focus on VAT (no highly complex tax matters, but secure routine in daily business)
