Signficance has an opportunity for a Database Administrator (Journeyman) who will support resolution of issues with production transaction and interface files fine-tuning database indexes and storage configurations, patches, and version upgrades. They will be responsible for supporting configuration and administrative activities related to Oracle Database, ZFS, LVM, and Exadata.

Required Skills

• 4+ years experience in database administration principles and practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, including relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and database design.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience with Oracle DBMS.
• Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Shift - Day - schema management, backups, patching.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with cloud-based database services such as Oracle Cloud Database, AWS RDS, and Azure SQL Database.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Current Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate certificate.

$90,000 - $95,000 a year

At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.

We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
