Position Summary

The Executive Director, Pharmacy Products & Platforms Innovation will lead product management and UX design for CVS Health pharmacy products and platforms. This role is accountable for defining and executing a compelling product and experience vision, building and leading high-performing product and UX teams, and delivering human-centered, consumer-friendly solutions that create meaningful value for customers, patients, pharmacy teams, and the business.

As a senior product and experience leader, this role drives product strategy end-to-end-from discovery and ideation through delivery and outcomes-while ensuring that human-centered design principles are embedded into how products are conceived, built, and evolved. The Executive Director partners closely with engineering, business operations, and customer insights leaders as part of the product creators' team to deliver scalable, intuitive, and impactful solutions.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, hands-on leader with a strong sense of ownership, deep customer empathy, and pride in both product outcomes and the quality of the experiences delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the overall product and experience vision and strategy for pharmacy products and platforms, ensuring alignment to business objectives and customer needs.
  • Be accountable for human-centered design outcomes, ensuring customer, patient, and frontline user needs are deeply understood and consistently translated into product and experience decisions.
  • Lead, build, and scale UX design teams, fostering a strong culture of customer empathy, creativity, and design excellence to drive consumer-friendly, intuitive solutions.
  • Lead product discovery and ideation, facilitating structured ideation, concept development, and strategic problem framing in partnership with UX, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Own product strategy and the product backlog, including defining epics, features, and priorities; ensuring backlog items are clearly articulated, outcome-focused, and grounded in customer value.
  • Build, lead, and mentor empowered, outcome-focused product and UX teams aligned to a product-oriented operating model and mindset.
  • Own product value, viability, and experience quality while actively integrating engineering and design expertise throughout discovery, definition, and delivery.
  • Drive ongoing prioritization of initiatives, resources, and funding to maximize impact and accelerate time-to-value, balancing customer experience, technical feasibility, and business outcomes.
  • Act as a strategic partner to business operations, guiding priorities and decisions to ensure product initiatives deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions at scale.
  • Foster a culture of continuous discovery, experimentation, and evidence-based decision making, including customer research, journey mapping, rapid prototyping, and experience validation.
  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of products, features, and cohesive, end-to-end customer experiences across digital and physical channels.
  • Deeply understand market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs through partnership with customer insight teams and direct engagement with customers and frontline users.
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in software product management leading large-scale consumer or B2B products
  • Proven experience managing and scaling large, multi-disciplinary product and UX/design teams
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmaps across complex product portfolios
  • Direct accountability for human-centered design and customer experience outcomes, not just feature delivery
  • Strong experience owning and prioritizing product backlogs and translating strategy and insights into executable work
  • Experience leading product discovery, ideation, and strategic decision-making in partnership with design and engineering
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data, research, and customer insights to drive prioritization and influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for design-led product development and creating intuitive, consumer-friendly experiences
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, experimentation, and learning
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for both experience quality and business outcomes
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, manage risk, and make informed trade-offs
  • Curiosity and interest in emerging technologies, including AI-enabled and intelligent experiences
Education

  • Master's Degree preferred
