ABOUT

Whether in a hospital, clinical environment, on a naval vessel, or in the field alongside service members, you will deploy your advanced medical training to save lives. You will be entrusted with the care of brave individuals committed to serving our nation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide emergency medical treatment to military personnel such as SEALs, Marines, and Seabees in diverse settings.
  • Administer emergency dental treatments, including the crafting of dental crowns and bridges, and operate X-ray equipment.
  • Assist in both general and specialized surgeries as an operating room technician.
  • Provide a broad array of preventive care and medications, including immunizations and intravenous fluids.
  • Maintain detailed patient treatment records, conduct research, and carry out clinical tests.

ADVANCED OPPORTUNITIES

For those interested in pursuing advanced roles in the technical field, you will face challenging conditions that require exceptional medical expertise:

  • Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman (SARC): Deliver advanced medical care for Marine forces during critical operations.
  • Search and Rescue Medical Technician (SMT): Provide emergency care during helicopter missions and support various evacuation efforts.
  • Deep Sea Diving Medical Technician (DMT): Collaborate with medical officers to manage diving-related health issues and operate sophisticated diving equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

As an Emergency Medical Response Specialist, you will experience diverse work environments. You could be based in a military hospital, a clinic, or onboard an aircraft carrier. You will work alongside other medical professionals, equipping you to be an effective first responder, whether on-site or in more remote locations.

TRAINING & ADVANCEMENT

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • U.S. citizenship and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Normal color perception, vision correctable to 20/20, and eligibility for security clearance.
  • Under 28 years old and commitment to a minimum 6-year enlistment period.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Physical Screening Test (PST).
